Nautical Training

27 and 28 May 2023

The staff of RCSCC Vanguard will attempt to get the Cadets as much 'on the water' training as possible, and filling the rest of the weekend with 'alongside' training on the skills a Cadet might use aboard a boat.

  • Cadets: C5

Sail Weekend 2

This weekend is for all the Ship's Company. 30 Cadets will be permitted to attend for training, and will be selected to attend. Cadets that attended Sail Weekend 1 can return to continue working towards their Canadian Yachting Association CANSail 1.

Where: HMCS York, 659 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (and bused to/from Oshawa Cadet Nautical Site daily)

When: 07:00 to 17:00

Date: 10, 11 June 2023

Dress: Sail Clothing (Pack Change of Clothes)

Annual Ceremonial Review

A parade that highlights the training the Cadets have participated in during the year.

Where: HMCS York, 659 Lake Shore Blvd. W.

When: 09:00 to 16:00

(Guests are to arrive at 13:30 to watch the parade.)

Date: 10, 11 June 2023

Dress: C1 Ceremonial Uniform (pack; wear civilian clothes to start).
